About

Headshot brick full smile PIXLR EDIT 1I’m a sketch & improv comedian, coachwriter, director, and producer based in NYC. I perform weekly as House Team comedian the Peoples Improv Theater. I’ve toured my plays in the U.S. and abroad and competed as a GrandSLAM finalist storyteller at The Moth. With 10 years of international physical theater training, I teach Commedia dell’Arte & Clown and hand-craft traditional commedia masks. By day, I work as a Program Associate at The OpEd Project to produce thought leadership programs like this for national social change.

Productions

I write, produce, and perform my plays in New York and tour them nationally and internationally. After the 2013 premiere of “HALF” at the New York International Fringe Festival, I toured “HALF” in San Francisco and accepted the RomaFringe Festival’s invitation to perform “HALF” in Rome for their 2014 season. I also produced three short comedies at Dixon Place in 2013. I’ve performed my stories for The Moth’s Story SLAMs, and I was nominated as a finalist storyteller for a Moth Grand SLAM competition at the Highline Ballroom. Check out the Comedy and Theater pages to see clips of my plays, sketches, and Vine videos. See the Press page for reviews and interviews.

I’ve also clocked hours as: a cheesemonger, a French-to-English translator for Condé Nast and doctoral candidates, an English writing mechanics and French tutor, and a standardized test prep teacher for the nonprofit Blue Engine at the Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School. For a fuller sense of my professional background and resume, see my LinkedIn profile. The Journalism page will give you a sense of how I’ve adapted my writing style to different publications and their respective editorial voices. I now work at the Managing Editor at The Financial Diet.
